Welcome to Horiryu II Tattoo Inc., an enclave of tradition and artistry nestled in the heart of Vancouver, BC, Canada. Marcus, an award-winning artist, embarked on his tattooing journey at 18, immediately after high school, under the expert guidance of his mentor, Horiryu I.

For a transformative seven years, Marcus apprenticed under the skilled hands of Horiryu I, absorbing the rich legacy and techniques of Japanese Traditional tattooing, known as Irezumi. Marcus had the privilege of learning directly from Irezumi artists from Japan, enriching his skills and deepening his understanding of this timeless art form. Not only was he able to learn from international artists, but travelled all across North America for conventions where he was able to accumulate awards and meet other artists. During this time, he honed his craft, fostering a deep appreciation for the art form's authenticity and cultural significance. 

Specializing exclusively in large-scale Japanese Traditional work, Marcus brings to life intricate designs and symbolism that define Irezumi. Each piece is a testament to the dedication and precision learned during his apprenticeship, ensuring the art form's timeless authenticity. 

Raised in the crucible of extreme poverty, Marcus's journey is a testament to the transformative power of passion and dedication.
